Cleveland’s West Side Market

The photographs in these galleries celebrate Cleveland, Ohio’s West Side Market. They were made between 2009 and 2012 for the book Cleveland’s West Side Market; 100 Years & Still Cooking by Laura Taxel and Marilou Suszko (University of Akron Press, 2012), and for the promotion of the West Side Market’s 100th Anniversary, with sponsorship from Ohio City Inc.

The Market is home to over one hundred small businesses and is one of oldest continuously operating public markets in the country.  The West Side Market is a regional and national treasure, championing great architectural design, entrepreneurism, cultural diversity, and most of all- fantastic food. Through these pages you can purchase prints of various types and sizes, as well as licenses for use in personal, editorial, and commercial media.
